Lea Ellermeier Nesbit, President
Lea Nesbit is a principal and founder of Lingualcare. Ms. Nesbit founded Lingualcare after three years with OraMetrix, a healthcare technology company focused in the orthodontic space. At OraMetrix Lea served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales. As a member of the OraMetrix executive management team, Lea managed marketing, business development, sales, customer service, installation and training. In addition she was successful in helping the company to raise over $20M in equity financing.
Prior to OraMetrix, Lea served as Vice President of Marketing at AutoTester, a QA software and professional services company. There she directed corporate marketing, corporate communications, public relations, and channel-partner programs. Before joining AutoTester, Ms. Nesbit was Director of Marketing at XTRA On-Line Corporation, a start-up, Internet travel software-development company. Prior to that, Lea held management positions in international sales and product marketing at Micrografx (MGXI), a developer of Windows graphics applications, where she was the Managing Director for Latin America, Africa, India and the Middle East. Lea started her career at GeoWorks, working as a product manager.
Lea has a B.A. in Political Science (Cum Laude) from the University of Texas and holds an M.B.A. from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) in Glendale, AZ.
Ruedger Rubbert, Vice President Development
Ruedger Rubbert has more than 20 years of experience in inventing new technologies and managing technology delivery and manufacturing organizations. He is a principal and founder of Lingualcare. Prior to Lingualcare, Mr. Rubbert founded OraMetrix, an orthodontic technology company, where he served as CTO and General Manager. He was a primary inventor of many of OraMetrix' key technologies and served as principal leader of the company's research and development efforts. Mr. Rubbert has authored more than 20 technology patents.
Mr. Rubbert spun-off a project that was the foundation for the OraMetrix platform technology from Geyer Medizin-und Fertigungsctchnik GmbH in 1996. Mr. Rubbert served as President of OraMetrix, Inc. for the first 18 months of the company's existence, managing day-to-day operations and participated in raising approximately $50M in equity financing.
The intra-oral 3D-Scanner Mr. Rubbert invented while leading the R&D efforts with OraMetrix won the technology award (Innovationspreis) of the German States Berlin and Brandenburg in 1998.
Prior to founding OraMetrix, Mr. Rubbert was a founding member of a tool engineering and robotics company, Krueger and Rubbert GbR. Geyer Umformtechnik KG purchased the company in 1989; and Ruedger Rubbert served as CEO of the subsidiary Geyer Medizin-und Fertigungstechnik GmbH.
Mr. Rubbert began his career as an engineer with Siemens AG and Vacuumschmelze GmbH. He holds a degree in tool making and a Master's degree in mechanical engineering from Technische Universität Berlin. Both degrees were received with distinction.
Dr. Dirk Wiechmann, Principal Clinical Advisor
Dr. Wiechmann is the key inventor of Lingualcare's customized lingual technology platform and a principal of the company. Dr. Wiechmann is recognized by his peers around the world as a thought leader in lingual orthodontics. His focus on providing excellent patient experiences and the best clinical results has driven him to invent and promote new technologies and processes for lingual care. He has been in private practice since 1997 in Germany where he starts more than 150 lingual cases each year. His company, T.O.P. Service for Lingual Orthodontics manufactures more than 2,000 lingual set-ups per year for orthodontists worldwide.
Dr. Wiechmann serves as clinical and scientific director for lingual orthodontics at the University of Paris VII (France) and a past president of the European Society for Lingual Orthodontics (ESLO). He lectures and teaches courses in the United States, Europe and Africa. He is the author of articles on lingual orthodontics in several journals.
Dr. Dirk Wiechmann received his D.D.S. in 1989, M.S. in 1990 and postgraduate degree in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics in 1997 from the University of Münster, Germany. He then earned a postgraduate degree in lingual orthodontics in 1998 from the University Paris V, France.
